Handmade Dress with Liberty Tana Lawn Bodice and Antique Underskirt for Meadow BB 18” Doll - 0799-100126
A handmade dress for Meadow BB 18” dolls, made using carefully chosen fabrics.
The bodice is made from Liberty Tana Lawn cotton and is fully lined, with the lining finished by hand stitching. A shaped front panel, made from the same fabric as the skirt, is attached to the bodice and embellished with fine pin-stitch detailing.
The dress skirt is made from cotton dress fabric and is very full, allowing it to display nicely when the doll is sitting. Underneath is a separate underskirt cut as more than a full circle, made from antique fabric taken from a vintage christening dress from my own collection. The underskirt fastens with a single sewn-on snap.
Finished with a silk ribbon bow at the front.
The dress opens fully at the back and fastens with sewn-on snaps.
