"Vintage Rose" — Handmade Smocked Dress for Sasha Doll (16" & 17")
A dress with all the warmth and charm of a vintage floral painting.
This one-of-a-kind creation is made from a beautiful cotton fabric in a soft dove grey, scattered with a gorgeous print of full-blown pink roses, dainty blue hydrangeas, fresh green leaves, and delicate grey trailing stems — a print that captures the timeless elegance of a country house garden in midsummer.
The bodice features beautiful hand-smocking worked in DMC embroidery threads in soft pinks, greens, and charcoal grey, creating a classic diamond lattice pattern that complements the muted tones of the fabric beautifully. Short puff sleeves with neat turned-back cuffs give a sweet, timeless finish.
Darts have been added to the back bodice to create a beautifully shaped, tailored fit.
A beautifully full gathered skirt allows the gorgeous floral print to take centre stage, with the roses and flowers blooming across the soft grey ground.
Fully lined throughout for a beautiful finish inside and out. Opens fully at the back and closes with sewn-on snaps.
A little heirloom piece made to be treasured.

Designed and handmade by me in my home sewing studio — smoke-free and pet-free. Your dress will arrive beautifully presented in a box, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to prevent wrinkles.
