"Midnight Rose" — Handmade Smocked Dress for Sasha Doll (16" & 17")
A dress with the rich, romantic beauty of a moonlit garden.
This one-of-a-kind creation is made from a beautiful cotton fabric in a deep, mottled cornflower blue, scattered with a gorgeous print of delicate pink rosebuds, soft peach blossom sprays, and graceful olive-green leaves and trailing stems — a print that captures the old-world charm of a classic English rose garden at twilight.
The bodice features beautiful hand-smocking worked in DMC embroidery threads in deep blue, coral pink, and warm gold, creating a classic diamond lattice pattern that brings out the rich tones of the fabric perfectly. Short puff sleeves with neat turned-back cuffs give a sweet, timeless finish.
Darts have been added to the back bodice to create a beautifully shaped, tailored fit.
A beautifully full gathered skirt allows the gorgeous floral print to take centre stage, with the rosebuds and blossom drifting across the deep blue ground.
Fully lined throughout for a beautiful finish inside and out. Opens fully at the back and closes with sewn-on snaps.

Designed and handmade by me in my home sewing studio — smoke-free and pet-free. Your dress will arrive beautifully presented in a box, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to prevent wrinkles.
