"Spring Whisper" — Handmade Smocked Dress for Sasha Doll (16" & 17")
A dress as delicate and dreamy as the first blush of spring.
This one-of-a-kind creation is made from a beautiful cotton fabric in a soft silvery grey, adorned with gorgeous clusters of coral, peach, and golden-yellow flowers entwined with trailing grey-green foliage — a print that evokes the gentle warmth of a spring garden as the first blooms begin to open.
The bodice features beautiful hand-smocking worked in DMC embroidery threads in warm coral and deep burgundy, creating a classic diamond lattice pattern that perfectly complements the soft, romantic tones of the fabric.
Short puff sleeves with neat turned-back cuffs give a sweet, timeless finish. Darts have been added to the back bodice to create a beautifully shaped, tailored fit.
A beautifully full gathered skirt allows the gorgeous floral print to take centre stage, with the flower clusters drifting softly across the silvery ground.
Fully lined throughout in white lawn cotton for a beautiful finish inside and out. Opens fully at the back and closes with sewn-on snaps. A little heirloom piece made to be treasured.

Designed and handmade by me in my home sewing studio — smoke-free and pet-free. Your dress will arrive beautifully presented in a box, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to prevent wrinkles.
