"Vintage Bloom" — Handmade Smocked Dress for Sasha Doll (16" & 17")
A dress as warm and romantic as a bouquet of freshly picked flowers.
This one-of-a-kind creation is made from a beautiful cotton fabric in a rich cream, covered with a generous print of open-petalled flowers in shades of coral, dusky rose, deep red, and soft gold, with graceful golden leaves and trailing stems — a print that is bold, beautiful, and full of warmth.
The bodice features beautiful hand-smocking worked in DMC embroidery threads in soft cream with a striking accent row in dusky rose and olive green, creating a classic diamond lattice pattern that draws out the warm tones of the fabric beautifully.
Short puff sleeves with neat turned-back cuffs give a sweet, timeless finish.
Darts have been added to the back bodice to create a beautifully shaped, tailored fit.
A beautifully full gathered skirt allows the gorgeous floral print to take centre stage, with the flowers blooming generously across the cream ground.
Fully lined throughout in white lawn cotton for a beautiful finish inside and out. Opens fully at the back and closes with sewn-on snaps.
A little heirloom piece made to be treasured.

Designed and handmade by me in my home sewing studio — smoke-free and pet-free. Your dress will arrive beautifully presented in a box, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to prevent wrinkles.
