Heirloom Outfit for Meadow Dumpling Dolls — Antique Lace Dress, Underskirt, Sash, Socks & Panties
A beautiful handmade outfit for Meadow Dumpling dolls, lovingly made from antique christening-gown materials for a true heirloom feel — a complete little ensemble of dress, underskirt, silk sash, socks and panties.
The dress is made from a piece of antique broderie anglaise (eyelet lace), carefully removed from a christening gown and given new life here.
It is sewn from my own pattern, sized and proportioned specifically to the Meadow Dumpling, with pretty puffed sleeves and cuffs scaled just right to the doll's measurements.
The bodice is lined, with the lining attached by hand in tiny stitches, and there are no raw seams anywhere inside — every seam is neatly finished. The dress does not open all the way down the back; it fastens with two snaps and is easy to put on and take off.
To add lovely fullness, I have made a separate underskirt, again from a remnant of an antique christening dress, its edge finished with a delicate shell-edge hem by machine. The underskirt fastens with a single snap.
A silk ribbon sash is included (shown here in soft lilac). If you would prefer a different colour of silk ribbon, please just ask and I'll check what I have available.
Little socks and panties, made from soft cotton knit, complete the outfit.
