AUCTION
LE #1 Sasha Doll Kiltie
Kiltie 1983/1 of 4000
Kiltie is a departure from the 1900 style of Studio Dolls and instead represents a Scottish Lass. She wears a drop waisted dress with a pleated skirt, the material used is Black Watch Tartan, a tartan used at the beginning of production for the 1966 red haired Ballet Girls. Kiltie also has glorious red hair, which is a human hair wig. Kiltie’s eyes are a pale grey blue, and she has no eyelashes. Under her dress she wears black tights, and her shoes are styled like typical Scottish dancing shoes. Some of her hair is swept back and fastened with a tiny brown barrette.
Condition: Her wig is still held in its original style and is full and holds the original curl. Kiltie has a necklace made from a small amethyst hanging from an elastic string. It is currently wrapped around the envelope carrying the Kiltie Certificate. Kiltie, her clothes, and box are in good condition. Her tights have marks from the elastic that held her in the box. Overall, there is a musty smell from being an NRFB doll.
