AUCTION
LE #1 Sasha Doll Pintucks
Pintucks 1982/1 of approx. 4600.
The Pintucks outfit is also inspired by Sasha Morgenthaler’s 1900 series of Studio Dolls. Her wig is made from human hair, like the Studio Dolls, and is held to one side by a small barrette decorated with a flower. Although the eyes of the Pintucks dolls were supposed to be hazel the pigment used in the first 300 dolls has reacted over the years and so most of them now have brilliant blue eyes, like this Pintucks. She wears an off-white dress with tiny pin tuck detailing, a full white petticoat, white knickers, white ankle socks and dark green, velveteen shoes.
Condition: Her brilliant blue eyes reveal delicate hand painted strokes, and she has extra hand painted lashes. Her left eye has a tiny paint flake missing. Her wig is full, and the colour is a vibrant blond. Her dress and petticoat are replacements, as her original clothing was stained quite badly. The replacements came from Anna Doggart and are clean with no stains. The original panties have a few small stains.
Her shoes are perfect, her feet underneath have some tiny marks from the shoes. Pintucks has been carefully re-strung by Petrana and her original elastics are inside her body cavity.
Her box is in good condition. Overall, there is a musty smell from being an NRFB doll.
